“The funniest, most heartwarming Christmas show in the history of the Griswold” Marilla Griswold might have said. Holly Daze! was a marvelous collaboration of Allegan area talents – clever writing by Scott Taylor (Allegan business owner and writer), inspirational direction by Sue Buese (retired Allegan teacher), energetic and entertaining Allegan actors (Kami Fleckenstein, Cath Hellman, Kevin Myers, Jacob Norman, Marne Sieber), narration by Brent Larson – the man with great comedic timing (Allegan General Hospital Foundation Executive Director), captivating tenor solos by Allegan’s own Jay Oetman who can make an audience laugh and cry, entertaining ensemble numbers from the Showtime Singers who will soon be returning to the Griswold stage, and beautiful holiday decorations by Allegan Area Arts Council members Paula Mintek, Judi McCall and Joy Richmond.
