I paint in pastel and in oil, depicting the scenery of southwest Michigan – landscapes, barns, trees, and shore. Several of my paintings were done of our property, an 80-acre parcel in Allegan County that has been in my husband’s family for three generations. Our land became a conservation easement with the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy in 2015.
My eye is often caught by humanity’s intersection with nature. I like a building in my landscape, a fence in snow, a path into woods.
My husband and I are amateur birdwatchers and I paint native birds, as well.
I am a member of the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan.
