Call To Artists – Art In The Garden 2017
March 7 @ 5:00 pm
March 7 is the deadline to apply for booth space at the AAAC 2017 Art In The Garden.
Allegan Area Arts Council heralds the advent of Spring by announcing its 9th Annual Art in the Garden, an artists’ market to be held Saturday, April 8th, from 10:00am – 3:00pm at The Silo, 1071 – 32nd Street (adjacent to the Grill House Restaurant), in Allegan, MI. Artists and garden vendors are encouraged to apply early for this one-day juried show.
Artists who might be thinking their art isn’t really garden-related should think again. Hats, towels, and shawls are worn in the garden. Rugs are used to wipe muddy feet. Wood, pottery and glass bowls, vases, and plates are used to display the fruits of the garden. Or think about pillows, baskets, flags, mobiles, lighting or candles that could be used on a porch? And we would love to include hand-made furniture, creative sculpture or statuary as well as, fine nature-inspired paintings and photographs. The possibilities are truly endless, so we hope artists will fill out the Art in the Garden application linked below and let our judges, well, be the judge.
There is ample parking and we are planning extensive publicity to attract a huge crowd. This Market will be heavily promoted in area media.
Please print and complete the application and return it to us by March 7. Make checks out to the AAAC and mail with your application to: Kim Caines, 2278 – 25th Street, Hopkins MI 49328. No application will be deemed complete without entry fee(s) included. If you have any questions or would like more information in order to apply, please contact the Event Coordinator Kim Caines at 269-673-2282 or email her at email@example.com.
